What we consider to be standard specification for our products far outweighs the offering from other manufacturers on every level. This means that we know a Formula One customer will have better quality, better finishing and better security with products from the Formula One Range™.
Thanks to our new CNC machining centre and our skilled team of manufacturers, Formula One is proud to offer the perfect environment for precision cutting and notching. This means that our frames are the strongest they can possibly be and it also means that our fitters aren’t slowed down by having to make alterations to our products but can focus on accurate installation first time.
Premium quality profiles
Unlike some manufacturers, the entire Formula One range of window frames are constructed using premium quality, German engineered high impact, high performance ‘Ideal 70’ PVCu profile.
We don’t believe that any of our products should compromise on quality so don’t offer anything less than the best.
Formula One products all come with galvanised steel reinforcing as standard, which is structurally more sound than recycled PVCu or weaker honeycomb steel reinforcing (and often used by other manufacturers).
In addition, a number of our competitors offer a cheaper, UK-made PVCu material for their ‘standard’ products that simply doesn’t have the same high specification and charge a premium price for German-made products. With Formula One you know you will have the ‘best’ supplied as standard.
Robust reinforcing
In a world where security is so important to us all, we believe that standard reinforcements within our windows must be the strongest available.
All Formula One windows are constructed using galvanised steel reinforcing, which is structurally superior to recycled PVCu or thinner honeycomb structured steel reinforcing.
Locks that deliver
All our window security hardware conforms to (and exceeds) BS EN 1670:2007, the specification for enhanced security performance. We know that our customers want to feel safe in their homes and surpass our competitors by offering such stringent safety measures within the Formula One Range™.
Formula One also offers a range of locking security enhancements which are passed by the Association of Chief Police Officers specification Secure by Design.
Every window in the Formula One Range™ comes with roller locks, shoot bolt locks and claw deadbolt locks fitted as standard. We also include full steel locking keeps for extra peace of mind. Door locks are supplied with roller locks, deadbolts and deep throw claw locks along with full steel one piece locking keeps.
Hinge protection as standard
And when it comes to hinge security, you can rest assured that all Formula One windows and doors incorporate hinge protection that offer significantly better protection than our competitors.
Fitted with hinge protection as standard, all products within the Formula One Range™ are able to tolerate a force of 5.9kn. Compare this to our competitors’ products without hinge protection, and tolerance levels are down to a mere 1.6kn.
Keeping a handle on style
When you buy windows and doors from Formula One you will benefit from our most ergonomically cranked handles, designed not only to look stylish, but also to minimise the risk of your hand dragging on the window profile when opening.
We also guarantee that your window and door handles will maintain the same colour consistency as the main profile as a standard feature – unlike some of our competitors, who offer this guarantee as an enhanced product option.
